Imagined Objects

At first these drawings were an experiement in selecting lines from real life, as can be seen in the first few, there are actual objects; railings, pipes, etc. the curved lines were snatched from lines of backs, heads, leaves, etc. then these lines and objects were connected together, to form these strange objects, amalgamations of reality, the confused translation of the world around us. The expression of forming thoughts. But as time passed in this pursuit I found that the observation of the real world was tiresome, being so strict in the means of constructing these sketches was so boring, when instead I could be free to make lines on the page without any outward influence, this then transformed the process in to random line making, constructing the objects out of the ether. Maybe this was the subconcious coming to the fore?
